Junior Engineers deputed to Ladakh

Jammu, Oct 6: Four JKAS officers were transferred by the government on Wednesday in the interest of administration with immediate effect.

According an order, Nazim Zai Khan, JKAS, Secretary in the Skill Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, relieving Shaleen Kabra, (IAS), Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department of the additional charge of the post.

Rajesh Kumar Basotra, JKAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, Skill Development Department.

Chand Kishore Sharma, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chowki Choura, holding additional charge of Sub-Registrar, Chowki Choura, has been transferred and shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, according to a separate order.

Varinder Gupta, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Labour and Employment Department, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chowki Choura. “He shall also hold the charge of the post of Sub-Registrar, Chowki Choura, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.”

Meanwhile Government has deputed three Junior engineers to Ladakh and repatriated an equal number of Ladakh UT who were on deputation.

“In the interest of administration, following officials presently on deputation to Ladakh are hereby repatriated to UT of J&K with the direction to report in the PWD, for further posting. These three junior engineers, Zakir Hussain Bhat, Showket Ali Sheikh, Parshotam Kumar.

Consequent upon the above the following officials are hereby deputed to UT of Ladakh for a period of two years or till the final apportionment is made in terms of Section 89-C of Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation act-2019. These officials shall report to GAD, UT of Ladakh. These include Rohit Khajuria, Junior Engineer, J&K Projects Construction Corporation Limited, Faheem Riyaz, junior engineer, R&B CD 2nd Srinagar and Aaqib Shareef Zargar, junior engineer, PWD (R&B), Construction Division Jammu-II.
