J&K constitutes committee to remove bottlenecks in with centrally sponsored schemes for poor

Jammu, October 21:
Jammu & Kashmir government has constituted a Sub-Committee to identify shortcomings, bottlenecks and creating awareness under various Beneficiary Oriented Schemes.
As per the order issued by General Administration Department (GAD), “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Sub-Committee for identifying shortcomings, bottlenecks and suggest improvements in implementation of various beneficiary oriented schemes like Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, National Urban Livelihood Mission and National Rural Livelihood Mission”.
The committee comprised of Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department as Chairman, Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir as members.
Chief Executive Officer, Urban Development Agency, Jammu/Kashmir has been nominated as Member Secretary
Representative of HUDCO. Convener of the UT Level Bankers Committee (UTLBC), vice president Lead Bank Department, J&K Bank, Representative of Punjab National Bank (PNB) for UT of J&K as members. Representative of State Bank of India (SBI), for UT of J&K, J&K Grameen Bank, Ellaquai Dehati Bank, Indian Bank, HDFC Bank, as Member
As per the order the main aim of the committee shall be to identify issues/bottlenecks of the CLSS for achieving the requisite target under PMAY (UT).
It is also aimed to suggest the ways and means for redressal of various issues with regard to formation of SHGs and their bank-linkage under DAY-NULM and NRLM.
To identify the issues/bottlenecks regarding sanctioning of cases by financial institutions under various components of DAY-NULM and NRLM. To workout measures for creating awareness among the general people regarding these beneficiary oriented schemes.
Chief Executive Officer, Urban Development Agency, J&K shall act as Member Secretary of the committee on rotational basis as and when the meetings are held at Jammu & Srinagar, respectively.
